Elgato needs to fix this.Elgato Gaming Hardware Drivers - Windows 10/11 Curious why this xml file change was even necessary on this new laptop with the latest Windows 11 H22 while it worked as installed on my older Toshiba laptop with Windows 10. I set it back to true and the device not initialized message did not appear and I am able to record. I launched the microsoft video editor app (I have a brand new LG Gram laptop) and it seemed to need initial configuration so I did that - maybe that helped? I will revert PsuedoChris's settings.xml changes and see if the problem returns. I made sure a video and audio stream were going into the dongle from my vhs camcorder - maybe that helped?. I did a million other things that could have been the fix but I don't know what. I tried PseudoChris's settings.xml changes and restarted the video capture app. Then I deleted the second elgato installation manually. I uninstalled using the windows uninstall program. I found two installations of the app, one in Program Files and another in Program Files (x86). BTW, PsuedoChris's settings.xml change to true did not work for me.Įdit: It is working now.
